b. Specify Application Icon

This is not technically required but to publish Apps to Google Play it is required. It can be done by going to Project properties. First add the png file to your resources and the select its as Application Icon.

c. Set the version number for your application.

  • Version Number: It represents application version
  • Version Name: It is the version value shown to users on google Play. Android does not use this value internally.

d. Configure the linker

Application is developed in Debug mode for packaging we need to change it to release mode to turn on the linking so that components of Xamarian.Android required at runtime are shipped with application.

Change the Configuration to Release and check "Bundle assemblies into native code".
