1. Google Nexus tabs
Google is unveiling a small tablet computer bearing its brand. Called the Nexus Seven, the tablet will have a screen that measures 7 inches diagonally, smaller than the nearly 10 inches on Apple Inc.'s popular iPad. That means it's more likely to challenge Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle Fire, which is also 7 inches. The Nexus Seven will also be light - at about 0.75 pound, compared with the Kindle Fire's 0.9 pound. The I Pad weighs 1.44 pounds.
2. Microsoft Surface
Microsoft surface is a planned series of tablet PCs designed and marketed by Microsoft. The surface will be available in two versions, "Surface", "Surface Pro". Surface and Surface Pro both have screens of 10.6-inch with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Both tablets use Microsoft's clear type HD display technology and support an ultra-wide viewing angle and auto-adjusting screen intensity.
3. Samsung Galaxy
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet features a Super AMOLED display that gives crystal clear pictures and much better viewing angles as compared to most other tablets in the sub 8 inch category. The tablet is powered by a 1.4 GHZ Dual Core processor and also has an inbuilt 1 GB RAM. The 1280 x 800 WXGA display has a screen resolution of 197 ppi.
As with most other tablet manufacturers, the Galaxy 7.7 tab ships with one of the three standard inbuilt storage options; 16, 32 or 64 GB. However, if you think that space might be a constraint in the future, you also have the option of expanding up to another 32 GB using the micro SD slot.
The tablet currently ships with the Honeycomb OS from Android, though Samsung has confirmed that it will upgrade the OS to Ice Cream Sandwich very soon.
